Master Card and Visa 3D Secure from Hair Trader

3D secure is a new anti-fraud system setup by Mastercard / Maestro and Visa.
It's free, secure and will protect you from online credit card fraud.

Hairtrader.co.uk treats your payment security with the highest priority and has implemented 3D secure together with a number of major online retailers such as Harvey Nichols, John Lewis, British Airways, Dixons, Currys, Dabs.com and Tesco.

Visa has called the scheme Verified by Visa and Mastercard / Maestro have called it SecureCode. You may have been sent information on this scheme by your bank.

The process is simple:

To activate:

Choose your products and enter your card details as normal.
A pop up from Visa or Mastercard will appear, requesting your credit card details:
Name on card, security code, date of birth and mother's maiden name for Visa.
Name on card, billing postal code and date of birth for Mastercard.
You will be asked to enter your password (twice, for confirmation).
The screen should confirm activation and payment.

This process is optional on some cards- if you do not wish to sign up to 3D secure, then simply select "Activate Later" when the pop up appears.

After activation:

After activation the process is a lot quicker, after buying from our site, all you need do is enter your password. Choose your products and enter your card details as normal.
A pop up from Visa or Mastercard / Maestro will appear requesting your password.
Enter your password, and select "confirm".
The screen should confirm validation and payment.
