Returns

We always hope at Hairtrader that you are pleased with your purchase, but sometimes we realise you may need to return an item for an exchange or refund, this is why we offer a 14 day money back guarantee on any item purchased online.

Did you know under "EU Distance Selling Regulations" ALL internet retailers must offer a money back guarantee to customers if they are not satisfied with the item they have purchased. Some websites offer no refund, the majority offer a 7 day money back guarantee but Hairtrader.co.uk gives you complete confidence by offering a 14 day money back guarantee.

Guidelines

Hairtrader accepts returns on the basis that the goods have been un-opened, un-used and are in a re-salable condition. This means all product packaging and tamper proof seals must be intact. Some manufacturers like ghd have security seals on their boxes, if these seals are broken then the item cannot be re-sold and the return will not be accepted by us.

Faulty Returns

In the event that your goods are being returned because they are faulty, Hairtrader will be responsible for replacement product postage costs. In the event that we find the goods are not faulty, yet they have still been returned to us we reserve the right to make a charge for postage and administration. Please note that some manufacturers like Ego Professional and Ghd require the faulty item to be returned direct to them for replacement. You will be notified of this if relevant.

Logging a Return

If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.

General

We will pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc).
You should expect to receive your refund within 1 week of being processed, however, in some cases the banks can take longer.

Returned orders due to incorrect address or non collection after attempted delivery will be refunded less the delivery cost or re-sent, you will be notified by email. If no delivery cost was charged on the original order the amount deductable will be dependent on shipment method e.g. Standard Post or Express overnight.
